The £5.7million Ysgol Carreg Hirfaen is the latest 21st century school delivered through our Modernising Education Programme.
The school, located in the heart of the rural community in Cwmann, is a model of the transformational change in educational facilities for primary and secondary school children in Carmarthenshire. Its state of the art classrooms and learning spaces are designed for both school and community use. Features include multi-level play areas and a flood-lit, all-weather sports pitch which is available for hire by local groups.
Constructed by Andrew Scott Ltd, the school caters for 148 children aged between four and 11, and also houses a Cylch Meithrin with spaces for 20 pre-school children.
