Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park

Nature has almost on its own created a wildlife paradise at Mynydd Mawr. This beautiful place has 270 acres of natural beauty with approximately 90 acres of coniferous and deciduous woodland with the main Gwendraeth Fawr River running along the entire northern boundary of the site.

The park is a remarkable example of recolonisation by wildlife; some areas have been re-seeded but most of the abandoned fields and industrial spoil heaps have colonised naturally.
