Carmarthenshire has easy access to a variety of public transport options.
There are a number of public bus services running in Carmarthenshire. You may find the Travel, roads & parking section of our website helpful when planning your journey.
Bwcabus is a bookable bus service and will collect you from your nearest bus stop or if you have mobility difficulties you may be picked up and set down at or near to your home address providing it is safe to do so.
The service enables you to travel between local towns and villages within the Bwcabus zone or connect to the main line bus services to travel further afield to places such as Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Carmarthen. Click here to view a map of the Bwcabus area.
The Concessionary Fare Scheme entitles elderly people and people with disabilities resident in Wales to free travel on local bus services throughout the Principality.
Country Cars is Carmarthenshire’s own voluntary social car service. It is designed to be a public transport ‘safety net’, providing links to bus and train, or door-to-door transport when needed, for individual and occasional needs.
