Support at home
You might need support because you are elderly, have a disability or a health condition.
There is a wide range of support to help you live at home and stay independent in the community. We can provide help, advice and services that can assist you in staying safely in your home.
Depending on your needs, equipment and adaptations could be provided to reassure and make everyday living easier. These could include safety monitors and alarms, small pieces of equipment or changes to your home.
Information is available on practical issues to help you to continue living at home - meals at home when cooking your own meals becomes difficult, measures to reduce the risk of falling and providing short breaks.
You may need help with personal support, such as washing and dressing. This could be provided on a short-term basis following a stay in hospital to help you gain the skills and confidence to live at home, or on a longer-term basis for when you need on-going support to stay living at home.
If living at home becomes too difficult you may also want to think about other housing options.
