Social Enterprise

Social Enterprises are changing the way the world does business. Social enterprises are businesses that trade for a social or environmental purpose. There are 70,000 social enterprises in the UK, employing two million people and contributing £20 billion to the economy.

Here are just a few of our local Social Enterprises:

Gwili Railway
The Gwili Railway nestled in the beautiful valley of Bronwydd climbs between hills and meadows on the way to Cynwyl Elfed. Take a tour of the signal box, visit the small museum, ride the miniature railway or simply relax and enjoy the dining experience.

Ramps Skate Park
Ramps is a 12,000 sq. ft. indoor and outdoor skatepark in Llanelli that has a diverse range of ramps.   Skaters, scooters and BMX, inline of any skill level are all welcome, as well as beginner lessons for Skateboarding and Scooters on a Saturday and Sunday morning.  In addition there is a 60 seat cafe for when you feel hungry.

Y Cwtsh - Menter Cwm Gwendraeth Elli

Black Mountain Centre
 The Black Mountain Centre Located in Brynaman, a village nestling at the foot of the Black Mountain of Carmarthenshire offers a wealth of facilities for visitors and business customers throughout the year. Llandysul Paddlers
Llandysul Canoe centre based in Pont Tyweli on the banks of the beautiful River Teifi offers a range of outdoor facilities to include canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and abseiling, coasteering, raft building, mountain biking and team building.

Xcel Bowl
Xcel Bowl based in Johnstown Carmarthen is a fantastic facility offering a 12 lane bowling alley with a range of packages, special offers and concessionary rates.  Additional facilities include a toddler and kids play area and cafe.
