There is currently no prevention strategy in place in for Carmarthenshire or for the Hywel Dda Region therefore it is now timely to review and update our position and develop an updated prevention strategy which takes account of our current position and sets out our prevention vision for the future. The new strategy will be called ‘Living Well in Carmarthenshire’.
A key element of developing the strategy is to understand what ‘Living Well’ means to the people of Carmarthenshire and what more can be done to support ‘Living Well’ and this information will guide us to decide what we need to do in the preventative space to ensure that people are able to live well for longer.
Through completing the online questionnaire or through attending one of our first three Living Well Events:
Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre – 16 August 2024 10am - 2pm
Tumble Hall, Tumble – 18 September 2024 10am - 2pm
Whitland Memorial Hall – 23 October 2024 10am - 2pm
Feedback from the surveys and Living Well events will be collated and used to form the Carmarthenshire Living Well Strategy which will be published at the end of November. Further opportunities to engage with the strategy will be available at the three subsequent Living Well Events, the first one being:
Princess Gwenllian Centre, Kidwelly - 29th November 2024 10am - 2pm
And a further two (dates and venues to be confirmed) early in 2025.
