Wi-Fi Towns pilot project
The Local Action Group have commissioned to pilot the installation of a Wi-Fi network across rural market towns.
The network has been installed in Carmarthen, Llandeilo, Whitland and St Clears, and does not only provide free Wi-Fi for visitors, but the system gathers valuable data that can benefit stakeholders associated with each town.
The system generates reports that can demonstrate the number of visitors within each town, how much time they are spending within the town and how often they visit.
Network users are also able to sign up to receive marketing materials which gives an opportunity for each town to share their offering to a wider audience via an e-newsletter.
If you are a business or community stakeholder located in any of the above towns and wish to receive monthly data reports generated from the Wi-Fi network, please get in touch to be included on our distribution list noting which town would be of most interest to you.
