Why are we consulting
Carmarthenshire County Council has launched Active Travel Carmarthen, a consultation on proposed active travel routes in Carmarthen to further develop a master plan for Active Travel in and around the town. The intention of this master plan is to make Carmarthen easier to get around. Through walking, cycling and providing safe, affordable transport options. These transport options will encourage town centre footfall and promote a healthier community. This is the opportunity to get involved.
The views of residents, commuters and business owners are being sought to maximise the benefit of this exercise for the whole community.
Next Steps
Feedback from this consultation will be progressed through specific feasibility studies in line with Welsh Transport Appraisal Guidance.
