Draft Preferred Strategy, Revised Local Development Plan (LDP)

  • Consultation period: 12/12/2018 - 08/02/2019 ~ 17:00
  • Audience: All residents, businesses and third-sector organisations
  • Area: Carmarthenshire
  • Council department / service: Environment, Planning Services

Why are we consulting

We have produced a Draft Preferred Strategy document for the Carmarthenshire Revised LDP.  The Preferred Strategy document outlines the Plan’s vision, issues and objectives, preferred level of growth and preferred spatial strategy.  It identifies two Strategic Sites and Strategic Policies.

The Preferred Strategy is the first formal publication in the LDP preparation process.  The Preferred Strategy will provide the strategic framework for the more detailed policies, proposals and development allocation in the Deposit Plan.

The Preferred Strategy main document can be viewed using the LDP’s on-line consultation portal.  This will also allow comments to be made and submitted electronically.  In order to use this system it will be necessary to register on the system.  This is the Council’s preferred method of comment as it will assist in the efficient processing of representations.  However, an editable form is available which can be returned to us by post or email.

The Equality Impact Assessment and the Tests of Soundness: Self-Assessment, are available in the downloads section below.

How to get involved

Comments may be submitted via the LDP consultation webpage, or through a comment form which is available on the Candidate site webpage. Please note that your submission cannot be treated as confidential and all submissions will be available for public inspection. Our privacy notice explains as clearly as possible what we do with your personal data. This is available on our website or upon request.
