The County Of Carmarthenshire (B4332 Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order on the 25th January, 2021 the effect of which will be to temporary prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the B4332 at Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn from a point 305 metres north-east of its junction with the U5415 for a total distance of ¾ mile in a north-easterly direction.
This closure is a continuation of the Temporary Emergency Closure dated the 18th January, 2021under Section 14(1)(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst Carmarthenshire County Council reconstruct sections of the B4332 Cenarth for a period of 8 weeks.
The alternative route for south-west bound traffic will be to proceed in a north-easterly to easterly direction along the B4332, passing Llwyncelyn and Awel-y-Coed to its junction with the A484. At the junction, turn left and continue in a north-westerly direction along the A484 (Cenarth to Cardigan Road), passing Cenarth Primary School , James Davies Saw Mills, Llwyndyrus Farm and Llechryd Water Works to its junction with the U5014 Llechryd Bridge. At the junction, turn left and continue in a southerly direction along the U5014 Llechryd Bridge, continue along the U5014 and C3004 in southerly direction, passing Castle Malgwyn Farm to its junction with the C3079. At the junction, turn left and continue in a south-easterly direction along the C3079, passing Penfordd, Yr Hen Ysgol Manordeifi to its junction with the C3162. At the junction, turn left and continue in a north-easterly direction along the C3162, passing Blaen-morw, Clynfyw, Penwernddu and Penrhiw. Continue in a south-easterly to north-easterly direction along the C3162 and B4332 to return to a point south-west of the closure. Vice Versa for north-east bound traffic.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
