The County Of Carmarthenshire (Carmarthen Street, Llandeilo) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order on the 24th May, 2021 the effect of which will be to temporary prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Carmarthen Street, Llandeilo from a point 50 meters south east of its junction with George Street for a total distance of 17 metres in a south-easterly direction.
This closure is a continuation of the Temporary Emergency Closure dated the 19th May, 2021 under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst Menter Dinefwr carry out refurbishment works on the Shire Hall.
The alternative route will be via Carmarthen Street, New Road and Rhosmaen Street, Llandeilo.
The County of Carmarthen (Llandeilo) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1952 will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the closure to allow two-way flow traffic along part of Carmarthen Street.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months
