The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Footpaths 51/120 (Part), Blaenau Road, Llandybie) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2020
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council on the 23 July 2020 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any Pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Footpath 51/120 from the site entrance off Blaenau Road, crossing the bridge, then following a track in a generally westerly direction to its junction with Footpath 51/0/36.
The Order came into force on the 23 July 2020 and was due to expire after a period of six months but was extended with the consent of the Welsh Ministers and is now due to expire on the 23rd January, 2021. The bridge replacement works affecting the footpath above described has not yet been completed and the Minister for Economy and Transport and North Wales, one of the Welsh Ministers, has pursuant to section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions ) Act 1991) consented to extend the closure by a further period of 6 months.
The continuation of the Order, by the above said direction, will mean that the Temporary Closure Order will continue in force until and including the 22 July, 2021or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. Any further extension will require the consent of the Welsh Ministers.
The Alternative Route for westbound pedestrian traffic wishing to travel along the footpath referred to above is to proceed in a south westerly direction along Blaenau Road before turning right in a northerly direction along Footpath 51/0/32 to re-join Footpath 51/120.
Vice Versa for east bound pedestrian traffic.
