The County Of Carmarthenshire (Railway Inn Culvert, Llanpumsaint) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporary prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the Railway Inn culvert on the C1316 Llanpumsaint, from a point 244 metres west of its junction with the C1301, for a total distance of 40 metres in a westerly direction.
The closure is necessary for Carmarthenshire County Council to carry out bridge reconstruction works from 0900 hours Monday 12th July, 2021 for a period of 16 weeks.
The alternative route for east bound traffic will be to proceed in a south-westerly direction, along the C1316, passing Henfryn, Penrhiwronw and Waun-Lwyd to its junction with the A484 (Cynwyl Elfed to Cwmduad Road). At the junction, turn right and continue in a northerly direction along the A484 (Cynwyl Elfed to Cwmduad Road), passing Cydawell, Ddolwen, Danycoed, Nantclawdd Uchaf and Tycoch to its junction with the C1300 (Roman Road). At the junction, turn right and continue in an easterly direction along the C1300 (Roman Road) passing Triolmaengwyn to its junction with the C1301 (Bancyffordd to Llanpumsaint Road). At the junction, turn right and continue in a southerly direction along the C1301 (Bancyffordd to Llanpumsaint Road), passing Pen-y-Waun, Cefn-Gilfach, Gwastod Mawr, Llain and Bryn-y-Wawr to return to a point east of the closure. Vice Versa for west bound traffic.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
