The County Of Carmarthenshire (The U2309 At Llannon, Llanelli) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporary prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the U2309 at Llannon, Llanelli from its junction with the B4306 for a distance of 2.4 miles in a Southerly direction.
The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst Carmarthenshire County Council carry out drainage works from Monday 12th July 2021 for a period of 1 week.
The alternative route for Southbound traffic will be to proceed along the B4306 in a North-Westerly direction to its junction with the A476 (Heol Morlais) At the junction, turn left and continue along the A476 in a Southerly direction passing properties known as Capel Hermon and Meadow View to its junction with the C2077. At the junction, turn left and continue along the C2077 in a South-Easterly direction passing properties known as Garn Howel Isaf and Troedyrhiw to its junction with the U2309. At the junction, turn left and continue along the U2039 in a Northerly direction to return to a point South of the closure. Vice versa for Northbound traffic.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
