The County of Carmarthenshire (Water Street, Carmarthen) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of road known as Water Street, Carmarthen from its junction with Lammas Street to its junction with St. Catherine Street.
The Order will contain exemptions for Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade purposes, for the performance of statutory powers or duties and for access with vehicles to premises situated adjacent to the length of road above referred to.
The Order is required to avoid the likelihood of danger to the public consequential of the requirement for pedestrians to maintain social distancing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the potential conflict with vehicular traffic.
It is intended that the Order will come operative on the third day of August Two Thousand and Twenty and whilst the situation will be continually monitored where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
