Warm places and Warm welcome spaces

Warm places and warm welcome spaces are places where residents can spend time to keep warm over the winter months.

Dedicated Warm Places have been set up in Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford libraries. Newspapers, magazines, computers/ iPad's and a television are available in a comfortable seating area. You can also join in any activities that are being held. Teas and coffees will be available free of charge.

We have encouraged communities to provide Warm Welcome Spaces within their communities, to think creatively about the type of events that can provide a warm and welcoming space for those most in need in their communities over the winter months. 

We have created a directory of warm places, warm welcome spaces and events, if you have an existing event or warm welcome space initiative that you'd like to promote

Cynwyl Elfed Friendship Group

The group is open to all ages. Entry and refreshments are free and there is no need to book. Just turn up. Croeso cynnes i bawb.

Monthly local history group meets every third Tuesday. Admission and refreshments free. The group pool their interest and knowledge in local history. Occasional speaker. All welcome. Croeso i bawb.

Llanelli Free Evangelical Church

Everyone is welcome here to come and share the warmth. You will find us a friendly place. There's free drinks and always a listening ear if you need someone to chat to. Feel free to drop in, and maybe bring your friends to have a catch up and share the warmth together.

Ammanford English Baptist Church

Everyone is welcome to join us each Wednesday between 10am-2pm. You can enjoy arts and crafts and painting, knitting, occasional guest speakers. Feel free to bring your own hobbies along. Tea and coffee and a light lunch are available (financial contributions are welcomed). We offer space for prayer
