Project Overview
This project includes a new primary school building for Ysgol Pembrey with a capacity for 270 primary and 30 nursery places. The new school building is being constructed on land adjacent to the existing school site and will provide state-of-the-art facilities and accommodation for pupils and staff. The Flying Start facility which is currently located in a separate mobile classroom on the current school premises will be accommodated within the new school building under one roof.

Contractor Update
The roof is on! With the four sides and 'top' of the timber frame building now in place. The T Richard Jones (Betws) Ltd. team has been able to begin placing materials within the building in preparation for the internal fitout and made good progress to install the majority of the windows. This puts them in a good position to begin lining the walls and installing the mechanical and electrical services in the new year. The building envelope will soon be taking shape as the permanent roof finish and wall cladding will also be able to progress as winter gives way to spring.
Externally, the new entrance road onto the site (on the Burry Port side of the school) from Ashburnham Road is almost complete, with the new exit to be formed early in the near year.
