Project Overview
Queen Elizabeth High School was created as part of the Authority’s School Modernisation Programme. The school which was built on the Johnstown site replaced Queen Elizabeth Cambria and Queen Elizabeth Maridunum secondary schools to provide Carmarthen Town with a new secondary school fit for the 21st Century.
Project Cost
The project cost was £29m. Funded 53% by Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools and Colleges Programme and 47% by the Local Authority's Modernising Education Programme.
