The establishment of Ysgol Bro Dinefwr bilingual category 2B 11-19 school was part of the wider education reform in the Cwm Gwendraeth and Dinefwr area. Ysgol Bro Dinefwr replaced both Pantycelyn and Tre-Gib secondary schools.
The new £30million school located in Ffairfach caters for 1,200 pupils in the area, including a 200 pupil sixth form and 30 place specialist provision for children with additional learning needs.
Ysgol Bro Dinefwr was delivered in partnership with the Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools programme.
The school provides a range of curriculum provision through the medium of both Welsh and English on a modern campus with state of the art facilities.
Additionally, it provides first class accommodation and facilities, plus high quality vocational courses with other Dinefwr schools and Coleg Sir Gar.
