The Carmarthen Park & Ride service PR1 runs on Mondays to Fridays from 0730 to 1825 and offers a half hourly Park & Ride facility from Nant-y-ci car park to the Town Centre and to Glangwili Hospital.

The service starts at Nant-y-ci car park (SA31 3SA) and stops at Carmarthen Bus Station - the main stopping point in the town centre - before moving on to Spilman Street and St Peters where you can enjoy shopping opportunities in the King Street area. If you are visiting or working at the Hospital, the service also extends to Glangwili before returning to Nant-y-ci.

You can travel between any of the stopping points listed above and fares will be comparable to other local bus services. You will be able to buy or use return tickets, 12 trip tickets, West Wales Rover Tickets and All Wales Concessionary Travel Passes as you would on other bus services in the town.

If you are starting your journey at Nant-y-ci Car Park, parking is FREE but a special offer of a £1 day return ticket is available if you are travelling to the town centre or the Hospital, with free travel for children under 16 if accompanied by an adult buying or using a £1 ticket.

If you’re an All Wales Concessionary Travel Pass holder you can travel for free from and to the car park. Please be aware that there is a barrier in operation at this car park. Barrier height is 2.1 meters.

The service is provided by us in conjunction with Hywel Dda University Health Board.
