Completed Active Travel schemes

This section showcases a number of previously completed schemes. These were designed and constructed in accordance to Active Travel Wales (2013) guidance. These were constructed to enhance or create new infrastructure to make it easier for the residents and visitors of Carmarthenshire to walk, scoot, cycle or wheel around their local environment with a particular emphasis on linking to key infrastructure destinations such as education centres, employment and retail.

These routes encourage Active Travel which aids outdoor activity, known to improve mental and physical health. Along with the health benefits this also helps us move toward our plan to become a net zero carbon local authority by 2030. We encourage you to leave your vehicle at home, use these routes, save money on fuel and enjoy the benefits these schemes bring.

All schemes have been funded by Welsh Government.
