7. Claw back - When you may have to repay the grant

Any grants provided will be recovered should your business:

  • cease to trade
  • significantly change from the details you provided in your application
  • sell any items purchased with grant money
  • change ownership
  • relocates out of Carmarthenshire or is sold

You will need to pay back any money you have received from the grant as follows:

Amount of funding Date from final payment Amount to be repaid
Up to £250,000 Within 5 years Funding to be repaid in full
Up to £250,000 After 5 years No funding to be repaid
£250,000 + Within 10 years Funding to be repaid in full
£250,000 + After 10 years No funding to be repaid

The grant must be repaid in full on demand if:

  • you are found to have made any misrepresentation in your application.
  • you have breached the terms of the grant. You will receive full details of the terms if your application is successful.
