Why are we consulting
We are seeking the views of residents on several key areas to understand how they feel about the Council’s performance and to inform our future planning and priority setting.
We are focussing on gaining an understanding of what the important issues are for individuals and their families and what matters to them most.
Consultation with our residents on performance is also a key requirement of the Local Government and Elections Act. This survey is the third in a developing conversation with residents in this respect.

Next Steps
Survey responses will be analysed by area (where possible) which will provide an idea of the issues facing our residents at as local a level as possible. Findings will be summarised in a report.
The report will be shared at every level of the organisation and considered by Cabinet to ensure that the views of residents and service users are considered in decision making and future planning.
