The County Of Carmarthenshire (Class Iii Road Leading From Llanllawddog To Brechfa) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of the Class III Road leading from Llanllawddog to Brechfa, from its junction with the unclassified road signposted Yetgoch for a distance of 120 metres in a north-easterly direction.
The Alternative Route for north-east bound traffic from a point south west of the closure will be to proceed in a general north-westerly direction along the road leading from Brechfa to Llanllawddog, passing through the village of Llanllawddog to its junction with the A485 Alltwalis Road. At the junction, turn left and proceed in a southerly direction passing through the village of Pontarsais and continuing through the village of Rhyadargaeau taking the first turning on the left down the unclassified road. Continue in a south-easterly direction along the unclassified road for approximately 1.2 miles to the junction signposted Whitemill. Turn left at the junction and continue in a general easterly direction for 1.6 miles passing properties knows as Meini and Rhydganol to the junction signposted Horeb. Turn left and proceed north for approximately 0.75 miles until you see a sign for Horeb and Felingwm. Turn right and follow the road for 2.7 miles to the crossroad junction with the B4310 Felingwm. Turn left at the crossroads and proceed for 2 miles into the village of Brechfa. Turn left where signposted Llanllawddog (just before The Forest Arms Pub). Proceed along the Class III road of Darnell Street in a general easterly direction passing properties known as Cwm Annwyl, Cerbynau, Ystrad and Tyllwyd Farm to return to a point north east of the closure.
Vice versa for south-east traffic.
The Order will continue in force until the construction of a retaining structure to support the carriageway has been completed.
It is intended that the works commenced on Monday 22nd April 2024, and will be completed in approximately 3 weeks.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
