The County Of Carmarthenshire (Heol Ddu, Tycroes) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of the Heol Ddu Road, Tycroes, from a point approximately 76 metres south-east of its junction with the A483 Pontardulais Road for a distance of 226 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Alternative Route for south-east bound traffic from a point north-west of the closure will be to proceed in north-westerly direction along the Heol Ddu road to its junction with the A483 Pontardulais Road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-easterly direction along the A483 Pontardulais Road to its junction with the Class III Road of Pen-Y-Garn. Turn right and proceed along Pen-Y-Garn Road for 0.8km in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the Unclassified Road of Heol Ddu. Turn right at the junction and continue in a north-westerly direction along Heol Ddu to return to a point south-east of the closure.
Vice versa for north-west bound traffic.
The Order will continue in force until National Grid complete works to install a new power supply.
It is intended that the works commenced on Monday the 15th April 2024, and will be completed in approximately 5 weeks.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
