NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of the unclassified road whose postal address is Abergorlech Road, Horeb, which is situated to the north of Pontynyswen, from a point approximately 560 metres north of its junction with the Class III Road leading from Pontynyswen to the Class II Road B4310 for a distance of 90 metres or thereabouts in a general northerly direction.
The Alternative Route for north-east bound traffic from a point south of the closure is to proceed in a general south-westerly direction along the unclassified road passing the properties known as Cefn Gwyn Farm and Maesgwyn Farm to its junction with the Class III road extending from Pontynyswen to the Class II Road B4310. At the junction, turn left and continue in a south-easterly direction to its junction with an unclassified road, being the first junction on the left hand side. At the junction turn left again and continue in a circular route along the unclassified road firstly in a northerly and then westerly direction before travelling in a south westerly direction to return to a point north of the closure.
Vice versa for south west bound traffic.
The Order will continue in force until culvert replacement works and associated works being undertaken to the said length of road have been completed.
It is intended that the works will commence on the 15th April, 2024 and will be completed in approximately six weeks.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
