Mental health

Mental health problems can affect anyone at any time. There are many different types of mental health issues. With support and encouragement many people make a full recovery; others may need support for longer periods of time.

If you are worried about your own or someone else's mental health, you should speak to your doctor.

Your doctor may refer you to:

  • Services provided in the community, such as support groups or counselling services
  • Specialist care and support services.

There are many groups who can help you work through your problems, help you find ways to cope and help you make positive changes in your life.
