Getting involved in things can make all the difference - for you and for others. You can support others and feel supported too.

Volunteering can make a real difference to your own life and the lives of those around you. As well as being fun and rewarding, it can:

Volunteering and Benefits
People who are getting benefits are usually able to do voluntary work without it affecting their benefits. However if you are getting certain benefits – though not State Pension or Pension Credit – you have to tell the Jobcentre Plus and there may be some conditions you have to meet in order to keep getting your benefit.

Allotments can help improve people's quality of life by promoting healthy food, exercise and a sense of community. Allotments in Carmarthenshire are managed by the Town Councils.
