School Transport
Please use the following pages to find out all you need to know about School transport and your child's eligibility for it.
To qualify for free transport the child must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be at least 5 years old
- Be a resident of Carmarthenshire
- Go to the nearest or Catchment school
- Live at least 2 miles from the school if they're in primary school or at least 3 Miles from the school if they're in secondary school (Measured by the shortest available walking route as measured by the council's mapping system, this includes schools in adjoining counties if relevant)
Please remember that Parents/Guardians are responsible for arranging a suitable means of transportation for their learners to get to school if they do not qualify for free transport, Not the council.
