Testimonial

"I have an interest in sport and fitness and I wanted to go to the leisure centre to gain more knowledge and skills, which will help me in my future. Since being on my placement, my confidence has definitely improved along with my communication skills, and I am able to communicate with customers in Welsh and English.

I am really enjoying at the centre and the staff are very supportive, encouraging and motivate me to learn new things. My time at the leisure centre has been very positive and by doing this I definitely know I want to work in sport and leisure in the future.

My top tip to anyone wanting to work within the leisure industry would be to try it out and apply for work experience or a volunteering opportunity, if you don’t try it then you won’t know."
