Opportunity: Low Voltage Network Battery Installation on Multiple Sites across Carmarthenshire
Opportunities for the installation of low voltage network batteries on sites in Carmarthenshire. A number of locations across Carmarthenshire have been identified which may be suitable for the installation of low voltage network batteries. The sites do not yet have planning permission for the installation of the batteries and further site due diligence will be required.
In seeking expressions of interest, Carmarthenshire County Council does nor bind itself to moving forward with all or any sites and does not guarantee that the sites will be proceedable or will remain available.
Carmarthenshire County Council reserves the right to include additional sites within this opportunity.
The intention of this advert is to seek expressions of interest only. If Carmarthenshire County Council obtains multiple expressions of interest, an informal tender exercise may be undertaken.
In order to demonstrate the capability to progress this opportunity, any submission of interest will need to be supported by evidence that your organisation has the following in place (failure to provide this evidence will result in your expression of interest being discontinued):
1) The capability and capacity to deploy network batteries within the network of the District Network Operator of circa 200-400kW per site;
2) Funding arrangements for the acquisition, installation and operation of the network batteries required;
3) Previous experience of installing non-domestic energy storage solutions in the last 3 years;
4) The capability to successfully obtain planning permission for energy storage projects.
Your organisation will need to clearly identify the number of sites it is prepared to take forward. Preference will be given to organisations prepared to progress a larger number of sites. A commitment to a lease term of no less than 30 years (with limited break clauses) is required.
