Community Play Improvement Scheme

The original play area in Pontyates was constructed in the 1970’s didn’t meet modern-day aspirations of children and young people and was infrequently used.

Following robust community consultation, the children and young people from local primary schools chose the equipment that has now been installed at the park, this includes an inclusive roundabout for wheelchair users.

The park has been very well received and is now used daily.
