Lifeboat Equipment

Ferryside Lifeboat is one of around 80 independent lifeboats operating in the UK, watching over the Three Rivers estuary.

Funding has supported the purchase essential equipment for the lifeboat crew including a new boat engine, personal protective equipment and first aid kits. The improvements have enhanced the safety of the public and crew, whilst also facilitating faster launch times. Five events were held by the group over the funding period, raising awareness, with almost 70k people reached, and 15 new volunteers recruited and trained.
