Myrtle House Pathways Project

The Pathways Project run by Myrtle House in Llanelli is a community-led initiative addressing food insecurity, social isolation, and economic hardship.

The funding has supported four part time staff to deliver educational workshops on cooking, budgeting, employability, mental wellbeing, and sustainable food production.

Various gardening equipment has been purchased, and garden pods rooms have been installed providing a warm dry space for gardening and food production at the centre.

During the last 9 months, 145 events have been held at the church, 10 new volunteers have been recruited and trained, and almost 100 new volunteering opportunities have been created. There has also been a marked increase in numbers engaging in the various beneficial workshops and classes.
