Refurbishment of new premises

Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services were recently able to acquire the lease for the premises below their current offices. The newly acquired facility needed improvements to make it a fully functioning facility, and to create a warm and welcoming space for all.

Funding has supported the installation of new double-glazed windows and doors, new energy efficient heating, hot water systems and lighting: three forms of new low carbon energy infrastructure. These improvements will not only reduce the carbon use of the service but also reduce costs and improve efficiency of the building.

Throughout the improvements, 79 service users engaged with planning for the new garden space and took part in activities aimed at developing further uses for the new facility, and 17 volunteering opportunities were created.
