Rural Youth Officer

Funding has supported the Carmarthenshire Young Farmers Clubs to deliver the ‘Fy Mhlat Bwyd/ My Food Plate’ programme through safeguarding one full time officer role.

The programme holds regular sessions for young people to learn about food nutrition, through cooking demonstrations, encouraging home cooking with fresh local produce, and keeping within a budget.

Over the course of the programme, 38k people were reached, 10 events were held or supported, and 21 new volunteers were recruited.
