Public Rights of Way Improvement Project

Working in partnership with Ramblers Cymru, funding has supported improvements to numerous Public Rights of Way in the county. Over 40 new gates have been installed and over 15,000m2 of routes cleared and made useable.

Several walking events have been held, enabling the recruitment and training of five new volunteers, who have surveyed and cleared paths and will be maintaining the paths in the future.

“We enjoy walking, and Carmarthenshire has some wonderful places to walk. As we're both retired, we have the time to do something for our county and the opportunity to walk paths that we wouldn't have previously considered. Ramblers Volunteers
