Following the renovation of the disused cricket club into the new Hendy Community Centre, funding was provided for the installation of solar panels, PA equipment a kitchen and café equipment.

This was a much needed and anticipated project for the residents, as there was no other buildings serving the village of Hendy, and is now in regular use.
