Why are we consulting

The Hackney Carriage (taxi) and Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) Licensing Policy is an important document that demonstrates the Council’s commitment to securing public safety, provide clarity for applicants and licence holders, assists decision making, and facilitates enforcement activities.

The Licensing Authority are required to introduce a Policy that updates its current requirements in line with Government Guidance and Welsh Government’s recommended harmonisation “Taxi” guidance.
