Your Living Space

At Hafan, we provide a comfortable and homely environment where you can relax and thrive. Here's a glimpse of what to expect:

The Lounges

In Hafan, we have two shared space lounges. One upstairs and one downstairs. The lounge downstairs is a big area where people usually spend a lot of time. The lounge downstairs is usually quite busy as its part of our open plan kitchen and living area. There is a sofa, along with three bucket chairs.

The upstairs lounge is another shared space which is usually much quieter. Children and young people tend to play their Xbox/Playstation here, but, there is also space for you to play board games, do some arts and crafts or just have some quiet time watching TV.

The Kitchen

Hafan’s kitchen is the heart of the home! Something is always available to you should you want it. However, to help with building routines to a healthy lifestyle, we try and stick to certain times of the day where meals are on offer. For example:-

Breakfast 7:30am – 10am
Lunch time 12pm – 2:30pm
Evening meal 5:30pm – 8pm

However, between these times, there will always be opportunities for you to make something for yourself, have a snack or even just take part in some fun baking with staff or spending time to plan and prepare your own meals to support you in building your independence.

The main kitchen closes at 10pm each night, however, if you are hungry after that, then please speak to staff who can support you in making some cereal, toast or offer a light snack to keep you going.

When it is time to eat, there are a number of options available to you. You could sit at the breakfast bar if you’re busy. However, if you’d like to sit down and eat your meal with staff, there is tables in both lounges as you can see in the pictures above. In Hafan, we try not to eat meals in our bedrooms.
