Emergency Food Aid – Capital Grant

The objective of the fund is to support initiatives that tackle food poverty within Carmarthenshire. It is a capital fund to support organisations to extend community food production and provision.

The fund is open for applications from 29 July 2025 with a deadline for submission of applications by 12pm on the 26 August 2025.  Applications will then be assessed and if successful, projects will be able to commence from the end of September 2025.  You will need to complete your project and fully claim by the 31 January 2026.

Examples of eligible purchases include:

• Kitchen Furniture e.g. – Kitchen Cabinets, Units, Worktops
• Fridges and freezers
• Cooking equipment e.g. – Cookers, Slow Cookers
• Kitchen equipment e.g. – Cutlery, utensils
• Storage for dried/canned goods
• Gardening/Growing equipment and tools

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list.

Constituted organisations can apply for a maximum of £5,000 and a minimum of £1,000.
