Graduate Programme FAQ's

If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to a half-day, face-to-face session.

You’ll take part in:

  • Group and scenario-based exercises
  • Problem-solving activities
  • A Welsh language assessment

It’s a supportive and interactive experience—and a great opportunity to meet us and learn more about the programme.

If you’re successful at Recruitment Day, you’ll be invited to attend an interview with the recruiting manager.

This is a conversation designed to help us get to know you better, your experience, your ambitions, and what you could bring to the role and the organisation.

During the interview, you’ll:

  • Meet the managers

You’ll speak directly with the manager you could be working with, giving you the chance to learn more about the role and ask questions.

  • Answer role-related questions

We’ll ask questions about your skills, experience, and how you would approach situations relevant to the role.

  • Demonstrate key behaviours

You’ll have the opportunity to share examples that show how you work, solve problems, and collaborate with others.

  • Explore your motivations

We’ll want to understand what interests you about the programme and your chosen career path. We’ll support you to feel prepared and give you the opportunity to show your best throughout the process.

After your interview, we’ll carefully review your performance across every stage of the process.

We look at your application, your participation in Recruitment Day, and your interview to build a full picture of your strengths, potential, and how you align with the role and our organisation.

How we make decisions

We assess all candidates against the same criteria, with a focus on:

  • How you demonstrated the key behaviours we’re looking for
  • Your potential to develop and succeed in the role
  • Your motivation and alignment with our values

This helps us ensure the process is fair, consistent, and focused on potential—not just experience.

Receiving your outcome

We’ll let you know the outcome of your application as soon as possible.

If you’re successful, we’ll:

  • Contact you to confirm your offer
  • Provide details about the role, start dates, and next steps
  • Answer any questions you may have

Feedback and development

Whatever the outcome, we’re committed to supporting your development.
