Why are we consulting
This consultation relates to a review of three Conservation Areas in Carmarthen: Carmarthen North, Water Street, and St David’s Street and Parcmaen Street.
Carmarthenshire County Council has undertaken significance reviews to inform proposals for updated Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans for Carmarthen North and Water Street, alongside a proposal to consider the de designation of the St David’s Street and Parcmaen Street Conservation Area.
This consultation forms part of the Council’s statutory duty to review Conservation Areas and seeks community views before any changes are progressed, approved, or adopted.
