Our ceremony rooms are steeped in local history, full of character and have been sensitively renovated and adapted to meet your requirements and expectations. 

The Old School, Carmarthen

A beautiful building situated in a conservation area, the Old Bro Myrddin Welsh School at Parc Myrddin in Carmarthen, built circa 1930, offers many original period features and is tastefully decorated to suit any occasion. Situated next to the old school games field and surrounded by lawns and greenery, it is a fabulous setting for your special day.

The Merlin

Up to 60 guests

The Merlin is our most recently refurbished room, luxuriously furnished in sparkling silver and glass, accented with green soft furnishings and bright white flowers, this enchanting room offers something for everyone; a delightful contrast between traditional and modern. The Merlin comfortably seats parties of up to 60 guests. 

The Library

Up to 20 guests

The Old School Library has been attractively restored yet retains much of its original character. Themed in soft, rich, warm tones of red and gold, it holds up to 20 seated guests. The original oak staircase and bookshelves, complete with authentic leather-bound books, provide a wonderful backdrop for any ceremony, whatever the occasion.

The Old Oak

Up to 20 guests

Originally a small lecture room, the Old Oak seats up to 20 guests. The original oak pews are finished with handwoven hearts and complemented with warm, rustic reds, creams and golds. This room offers a traditional yet alternative option for any type of ceremony.

The Dwynwen

Up to 10 guests

The Dwynwen is our smaller offering at The Old School allowing up to 10 guests in a pleasantly decorated space perfect for the more intimate ceremony.

Llanelli Town Hall

Llanelli Town Hall, is an historic listed building built in 1882 in a neo-Jacobean style. It is a landmark in Llanelli and one of Carmarthenshire’s most impressive architectural buildings. The interior is decorated in sumptuous reds and golds, which enhance and complement its grandeur and stature, it is surrounded by beautiful memorial gardens.

The Town Hall Ceremony Room

Up to 65 guests

This large, stately, traditionally furnished town hall room accommodates parties of up to 65 guests. A popular choice in Llanelli it offers the convenience of its location combined with the wonderful backdrop both inside and out for photographs.

The Chair's Room

Up to 20 guests

A new addition to the options at the Llanelli Town Hall, we are pleased to now offer The Chair’s Room. A relaxed, informal space with just enough grandeur to lend occasion to your special day.

The Registrar's Room

Up to 10 guests

The Registrar's Room, with views over the Town Hall gardens, is an ideal room for smaller gatherings.

The fees for both Carmarthen and Llanelli include a meeting with your registrar prior to your wedding day to discuss your requirements and a personalised ceremony script. Certificates can be ordered and paid any time after your ceremony at £12.50 each. Order a copy certificate.

Statutory ceremony

Couples wishing to have the simplest legal marriage or civil partnership ceremony, for themselves and 2 witnesses only, can book this in Carmarthen between Monday and Thursday.  A statutory ceremony will take place in one of our Carmarthen registration offices.
