HAVE YOU CONSIDERED STEPPING UP AND BECOMING A JUNIOR LEADER?
Do you want to gain leadership skills, boost your confidence and make a real impact in your community?
As part of Youth Work in Wales Week 2025 (23- 29 June) we are launching our new Junior Leaders Programme in partnership with Foothold Cymru’s Volunteens scheme. The Volunteens scheme recognises the contribution, time and hard work that our Junior Leaders play.
Your volunteering time will be recognised by the Volunteens Programme, and you will have the opportunity to achieve a Junior Leadership Training Qualification.
Here’s just some of the great reasons why you should volunteer in a youth club:
- Volunteering is a fantastic way to support a cause that you care about and learn new things along the way
- You can build your experience and skills while growing your confidence
- You will meet new people and work as part of a youth work team
- You will provide support for youth work activities
- You can have fun and be part of your community
- You will feel valued and make a difference
- You will contribute towards planning and evaluating the youth club programme and activities
What it takes to become a junior leader in a youth club:
To become a Junior Leader, you will:
