We only accept applications for schools in Carmarthenshire. If you are applying for a school in another County, please contact them directly.
Please remember that even if you have spoken to a school and they have said there are places available, until you’ve made an application and had confirmation from us that your child has been accepted, they cannot start school.
When applying for a school place, it’s important to know that free school transport is USUALLY only available if your child attends their catchment or nearest suitable school and lives more than 2 miles away (primary) or 3 miles away (secondary).
If you choose a school that isn’t your catchment or nearest school, you will need to make your own transport arrangements.
In some cases, a spare seat may be available on an existing school transport route. These are only offered to children who live more than 1 mile away but still within the walking distance limits, and spaces are not guarantee.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - For children born on or after 1 September 2021 there will be changes to their full time education start date.
