Pay your council invoice or council tax bill

The easiest and most secure way to pay.

• Choose from three payment dates for council tax: 5th, 15th, or 28th of each month.
• Choose to pay your council invoice on 1at of each month.
• Payments are automatic and protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
• No need to renew each year (unless you move address for council tax)

You’ll need your Invoice number to pay an invoice, council tax account number to pay a council tax bill together with bank details.

Pay online

You can use a debit or credit card to pay over the phone. This is a 24-hour automated payments system.

You will need to have the following to hand before you call:

• your council tax account number OR council invoice reference
• your Debit or Credit Card
• the amount you want to pay

You can choose to speak to one of our customer service advisors about your bill on 01267 234567. Due to changes in regulations, you will now be required to key in your own card details in order to process your payment. Please note this is not a 24-hour service and only applies during call centre opening hours.

Please send payments by cheque with your name, address, and either your council invoice number or council tax account number to:

Cheques should be crossed and made payable to Carmarthen County Council. Post-dated cheques are not accepted.

Please do not send cash by post.
