Make your own deodorant or shaving balm that can be stored in reusable glass containers. Deodorant can be made from household items such as baking soda, coconut oil, shea butter and essential oils.
Instead of foil, try using reusable containers or beeswax wraps to keep your food fresh. You can even make your own beeswax wraps from spare fabric you have at home.
Wood ash makes an excellent fertiliser and can be applied directly to flower beds or vegetable patches during winter.
