Tourism

Tourism contributed £731million to the Carmarthenshire economy in 2024, supporting 6,656 full time jobs. The County Council is an important stakeholder in sustainably growing the sector, being the statutory body for services such as planning, public health and highways, as well as numerous visitor and leisure facilities such as theatres, beaches, swimming pools and country parks. We also seek to increase awareness of the County as a tourist destination, delivering marketing activities to support partners such as Visit Wales and Visit Britain.
