Carmarthenshire County Council proudly hosted the annual Carmarthenshire Tourism Ambassador Award Ceremony at County Hall, Carmarthen, celebrating the outstanding businesses and individuals who champion the county as a place to live, work and visit.
Following the success of last year’s event, invited Tourism Ambassadors gathered in the Main Chamber to be formally recognised for their commitment, enthusiasm and contribution to the local tourism industry. Each Ambassador was presented with their official certificate in recognition of the vital role they play in showcasing Carmarthenshire’s rich culture, landscapes, attractions and communities.
The ceremony was hosted by Cllr Dot Jones, Carmarthenshire County Council Chair and formed a focal point of Wales Tourism Ambassador Week. The event provided an opportunity not only to celebrate achievement, but also to bring together passionate advocates from across the county who are helping to create memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike.
With more than 400 Tourism Ambassadors now active across Carmarthenshire, the scheme continues to grow in strength and impact. From hospitality and attractions to retail, heritage and community organisations, Ambassadors play a key role in promoting the county with pride, knowledge and authenticity.
The morning included refreshments, the formal presentation ceremony, and an optional networking workshop, giving attendees the chance to connect, share ideas and strengthen partnerships across the tourism sector.
Carmarthenshire County Council extends its sincere thanks to all Tourism Ambassadors for their ongoing dedication. Your passion makes a real difference and helps ensure Carmarthenshire continues to offer a warm welcome and exceptional experiences for all who visit.
